Among the City of Fayeteville's responsibilities to its citizens is to mitigate or minimize the effects of a man-made or natural disaster that may occur within the city limits. In order to accomplish this task, the City of Fayetteville has established an Emergency Management Division within the Fire Department. Website includes instructions on how to assemble an emergency 3-day supply kit as well as instruction on hurricane preparedness.

This agency facilitates the process of emergency preparedness and planning for the community. It provides useful information in preparing for emergencies.

Information for prepariong for hurricanes, flooding and various hazards.

This site provides the local link for the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Raleigh with helpful information concerning hurricanes, flooding, etc.

To apply for federal financial assistance, storm survivors can:

1. Apply online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov
2. Call 800-621-FEMA (3362); or
3. Visit the disaster recovery center in their country
