The Cumberland County Public Library & Information Center encourages enthusiastic participation and creativity in young adults.
Teen Tech Week Online Challenges
- Submissions will be accepted until March 31, 2009.
- Teens may make multiple submissions for display in the Teen Tech Week gallery hosted online at Flickr.
- All works will be reviewed by Melissa Lang, assistant youth services coordinator, before being uploaded to the Library’s Teen Flickr account: HeyWhat'chaReading?.
- The Teen Tech Week gallery is intended for a general audience. Comments will be enabled, however, inappropriate comments will be deleted without notice.
- This teen art gallery is intended to showcase new, original work. The creator must have the rights to images, video, and sound used in the work or have used materials that are royalty-free or available for use under a Creative Commons license.
- The Library will not knowingly upload artwork which violates federal or North Carolina copyright law. Upon discovering any uploaded material is in violation of any federal or North Carolina copyright law, whether through notification by the material’s owner or otherwise, the Library will promptly remove the protected material from the gallery.
- The Library reserves the right to withhold submissions from the public gallery.
- Statements or views expressed remain the responsibility of the individual making them and are not endorsed or shared by the Library.
- Photos, images and videos submitted by users for online galleries or contests may also be used by the Library for promotional purposes, and those users will be considered to have given permission for use of their images.
- At the conclusion of the contest/event/program, the library may remove submissions from public access.
