These are online indexes of articles appearing in "The Fayetteville Observer," "Fayetteville Times," or "Cumberland County Outlook" in either 1982 or 1983. Articles can be found by their subject or by a person's name. For each article, there is a brief summary, the name of the newspaper in which it appeared, date and page number.

Armed with this information, one can readily view and print the full text of these articles using the microfilm in the Local and State History Room.

Biography files can be valuable research tools. They contain a variety of biographical information in the form of newspaper clippings, magazine and newsletter articles, and bits of family history.
