Initially built as a two room school in 1935, this six-classroom frame structure was located seven miles east of Fayetteville off Cedar Creek Road. Destroyed by fire in May 1950, the school had a staff of six teachers and 240 students enrolled in seven grades. The principal was R.C. Simmons. After the fire, churches in the community (Lock’s Creek, Falling Run and Good Hope) provided space for students until the end of the school year.
