Schools D to F

This one-teacher school was located in the Eastover township. In February 3, 1938, Mae Rudd Williams, Supervisor of African American Schools in Cumberland County visited this school to hold a conference with the teacher and to issue books and supplies.

In 1902 schools in Flea Hill, Rock Hill, and Bear communities were consolidated and a new school opened. The school was officially named Eastover in 1903. A high school was established in 1909 and became the first accredited high school in the county school system in 1919. A two-story brick building was constructed in 1926. This structure had 16 classrooms, an auditorium, library and science laboratory. A fire in 1936 destroyed the building.

This school was located in District 7. Mary C. Cole was the teacher there during the 1931-32 school year.

This was a two-teacher school located in Cedar Creek. During the 1931-32 school year, Estella Williams and Blanche McDonald served as teachers here.
