Librarian III/Community Branch Manager #117000237

An employee in this position is responsible for performing complex professional library work and administration of a Community Branch. Considerable independent judgment and initiative as well as interpersonal skills are needed to coordinate work of others. Oversees all branch services including Information Services, Youth Services, Circulation Services and Paging. Trainee candidates must have at least 30 months (2 ½ years) experience as a MLS professional librarian in a public library and six months of library supervisory experience.

Experience as a trainer preferred

Librarian IV/Regional Branch Manager #117000038

An employee in this position is responsible for performing complex professional library work and administering a Regional Branch Library. Hires, supervises, trains, and evaluates department managers and branch staff to ensure policies and procedures are followed and library goals are met. Library Maintenance Services Coordinator Position #117000206

An employee in this position supervises custodial training, staffing, scheduling, safety policies and procedures, equipment needs, supplies and repairs. Work includes directly supervising custodians at Headquarters Library and East Regional Library; supervising Custodial Crew Leaders; setting work schedules ensuring maximum coverage throughout the library at all times, assigning duties and locations, and evaluating work performance; and responsibility for recruitment of all custodial positions. Employee guides and instructs Crew Leaders on proper supervision including evaluation and discipline. Work is performed under the general direction of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.

Requirements: Graduation from high school and four years of custodian work experience in an office or commercial environment. Two of the four years of custodial work experience must include supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
