MAINTENANCE SERVICES COORDINATOR/Custodian Supervisor Position Roster #LIB0260

Supervises and coordinates custodial training, staffing, safety policies and procedures, equipment needs, supplies and repairs for the Library. Work in this class involves supervising custodial crews engaged in cleaning and minor maintenance. Employee supervises several crews engaged in daily cleaning routines; establishes individual workloads, assigns personnel to a specific work area, and provides in-service training for new employees. Duties include the responsibility for equipment upkeep and for maintaining a sufficient inventory of custodial supplies. Work is performed under the general direction of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.

Location: Headquarters Branch

Requirements: Graduation from high school and four years of custodian work experience in an office or commercial environment, preferably to include some supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have access to transportation and maintain a valid North Carolina driver's license with an acceptable driving record, or obtain and present to the Library’s Personnel Administrative Assistant a valid North Carolina driver’s license for verification within thirty days of employment. Law enforcement background check required. Negative drug test required.

Current salary is: $26,812/year
