ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR I/Human Resources #LIB0066
An employee in this position performs highly skilled administrative work which includes personnel training and consultation; interprets County and Library Personnel Policies and Procedures as the Personnel Manager for the Library under the direction of the Library Director. The employee is the primary contact for library supervisors regarding human resource questions or information on personnel actions. Oversees the maintenance, accuracy and confidentiality of personnel records and processes for the library; manages vacancy and recruitment activities, performance appraisals, timesheets, Workers’ Compensation, Family Medical Leave, and personnel actions.
Location: Headquarters Administration
Requirements: Completion of high school or equivalent and four years of progressively responsible clerical administrative/office management and personnel experience; or completion of a two year associate degree in a business administration program with emphasis in human resources and two years of progressively responsible clerical/administrative/office management personnel experience; or completion of a four year college or university program with emphasis on course work in public administration and human resources.
Preference will be given to applicants with supervisory experience and/or membership in the Society for Human Resources Management

Part Time Custodian Position Roster #LIB0148
This is a part time position and works 19 hours per week.
Job requires working evenings and weekends.

Performs a variety of custodial work in the care and maintenance of library building and facility. Employee is responsible for sweeping, mopping and using vacuum cleaners to clean floors; washing walls, windows, woodwork and fixtures; and policing building to empty trash receptacles and pick up of debris, etc. Dusts and cleans desks and other furniture. Strips wax, waxes and buffs floor surfaces, etc.
Location: Headquarters Library
Requirements: Completion of eighth grade and six months work experience to include some janitorial and/or maintenance duties in an office or commercial environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have access to transportation and maintain a valid North Carolina driver's license with an acceptable driving record, or obtain and present to the Library’s Personnel Administrative Assistant a valid North Carolina driver’s license for verification within thirty days of employment. Law enforcement background check required. Negative drug test required.
Current salary is: $10.46/hr

Department IT Support Technician I #LIB0014

An employee in this position provides technical assistance to library departments and employees regarding personal computers, software programs, telephonic equipment, audio visual, printers, and other computer peripherals. Assistance is provided in the form of installation, repair, maintenance, and training. Employee assists with editing and updating of library website. Ability to demonstrate hardware and software operation and effective communication skills are needed. Work is performed under the supervision of the Department IT Support Technician II and is evaluated by observation of overall implementation of assigned duties.
Location: Headquarters Library
Requirements: Two (2) year degree in computer science or related field supplemented by three (3) years' experience and/or training that includes PC repair and installation, network configuration, printer repair and installation, software installs (server and client based), systems troubleshooting and managing devices on a Windows domain using Active Directory; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Preference will be given to applicants with certification in A+, Network+, MCSA/MCSE and CCNA.
Must have or achieve A+ certification within 6 months of hire date.
