An employee in this position supervises custodial services at all branch locations to ensure the library provides a clean, safe and sanitized environment for staff and customers. Oversees and performs general cleaning and maintenance of building and grounds. Leads, plans, trains, schedules and evaluates the work of custodians at all locations. Provides or coordinates staff training; works with employees to correct deficiencies and implements disciplinary procedures. Performs distribution of supplies to assigned branches. Performs building and grounds maintenance support and repair services for assigned locations.

Librarian II Youth Services #117000046

An employee in this position is required to provide reference service and readers’ advisory in youth literature. Develops and presents programs for youth from birth through grade 12. May act as supervisor in charge on a regular basis in the absence of the manager. Works with other YS Librarian II’s under the direction of the Division Manager for Youth Services to plan and implement new services and programs for youth. May be assigned system-wide responsibilities such as grant management, new service development, or ordering materials.

Equivalent Training/Experience

Librarian II/Local & State History Manager #117000045

An employee in this position is responsible for the overall supervision of the Local and State History Department, including management of the collection, and supervision, training, and scheduling of staff in the Local and State History department. Co-coordinates the supervision, training, and scheduling of IS staff for general information services. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Headquarters Services Manager. This position regularly acts as Person in Charge in the absence of the Headquarters Services Manager.

Librarian II/Emerging Adult Services Specialist #117000110

An employee in this position assists the Youth Services Division Manager in system-wide teen and new adult planning and programming; assumes responsibilities for Youth Services in the absence of the Youth Services Division Manager under the guidance of other Division Managers. Develops and implements dynamic system-wide services; coordinates and develops system-wide activities such as the annual Librari-Con, Teen Summer Reading Program, and STEAM programming; develops innovative programs and ensures their replication at various locations; assists with coordination and purchasing of craft kits; encourages the development of programs by other Youth Services staff and facilitates the sharing of programming resources.

Equivalent Training:
Master's degree in a related field and four years' experience in a K-12 educational institution or public library youth services department accepted; or Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science followed by six years' experience in a K-12 educational institution or public library youth services department.

Salary: $43,009.80 to $45,370.00 per year
