Library Associate (Youth Services) Position Roster #LIB0073
This position provides reference and information assistance and readers’ advisory services to customers; instructs and assists customers in use of the Internet. This position is responsible for performing intermediate services at information and/or youth services desks. Plans and coordinates youth programs for specific age groups under the direction and supervision of a librarian. May act as person in charge at community branch locations.
Location: Hope Mills branch library
Requirements: Graduation from a four-year college or university and one year of relevant public library experience or progressive customer relations experience in the public sector; or Associate’s degree in Library and Information Technology and two years of relevant public library experience or; an Associate’s degree and three years of relevant public library experience or progressive customer relations experience in the public sector or; graduation from high school and five years of relevant public library experience or progressive customer relations experience in the public sector; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Library experience or experience working with youth is preferred.
Current salary is: $32,731/yr.

Department IT Support Technician II # LIB0053
The Department IT Support Technician II supervises the work of Department IT Support Technician I’s in the technical functions associated with the requisitioning, installation, repair, upgrades, relocations, maintenance and support of personal computers, software programs, telephonic equipment, audio visual, printers, other computer peripherals, and connectivity to Local Area Networks and the Internet. Employee provides technical assistance to library departments and employees regarding personal computers, software programs, telephonic equipment, audio visual, printers, and other computer peripherals. Employee provides assistance with library website management, website design, website editing, database design, and server maintenance. Assistance is provided in the form of installation, repair, maintenance, programing, and training.
Location: Headquarters Library
Requirements: Two year degree in computer science or related field supplemented by three (3) years’ experience and/or training that includes PC repair and installation, network configuration, printer repair and installation, software installs (server and client based), systems troubleshooting and managing devices on a Windows domain using Active Directory; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Preference will be given to applicants with certification in A+, Network+, MCSA/MCSE and CCNA.
Current salary is: $35,878/yr.
