Financial Donations
The Friends accept monetary donations, which help provide supplemental library programs and services. All contributions are tax deductible as allowed under the extent of the law.

Materials
The Friends of the Library accept books, CDs and DVDs in good or like new condition. Materials are reviewed for inclusion in the Friends used book sales and possibly for the library collection. Items deemed in poor condition or of little interest will be discarded through a recycling program. All book sale proceeds benefit library programs and services and donations are tax deductible as allowed under the extent of the law.

  • Books
  • Books complete on CD
  • CDs
  • DVDs
  • Vinyl Records
  • Magazines – the following are in high demand: home improvement, home decorating and cooking magazines and all children's books and magazines.

We Prefer Not to Accept

  • National Geographic Magazines between 1960 and 2000
  • Encyclopedias before 2010
  • Readers Digest Condensed Books
  • Children's materials discarded from school libraries
  • Materials discarded from law libraries
  • Incomplete book sets
  • Materials that are water damaged, mildewed, soiled or otherwise unusable.

Materials are reviewed for inclusion in the library’s collection and then to sell in the Friends of the Library book sales. Donations are tax deductible as allowed under the extent of the law. All Friends book sale proceeds benefit library programs and services.

Where to Donate
Please check with library staff at any location. For large donations that may include several boxes of materials, please deliver them to the back of Headquarters Library, 300 Maiden Lane, Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. until 4:45 p.m. Ring the doorbell next to the garage door and someone will come to assist you.

Items deemed in poor condition or of little interest will be discarded through a recycling program.
