The Bordeaux Branch Library serves over 30,000 people who live in western Fayetteville. The 10,000 square foot facility opened in December 1985 adjacent to Mary McArthur Elementary School. In FY 2008-2009, an average of 11,750 people per month visited the Bordeaux Branch, using the library in a variety of ways: more than 13,000 books, sound recordings, videos, and magazines were borrowed each month; and there were over 30,000 people who used the computers available to the public. Our information services staff also answered 34,359 questions during that year, which works out to roughly 110 questions per day!
